Where are your products made?

Our bars and soaps are made in New Zealand for the local NZ market.

Where do the soaps and bars ship from?

They will ship from our warehouse in New Zealand.

How do you care for a shampoo bar?

Shampoo bars (and soap bars) last longest when they are allowed to dry between uses.

Avoid letting them sit in puddles of water, rather leave them on a draining soap dish, dry face cloth, or directly on a firm surface to dry out between uses.

What is a shampoo bar?

A shampoo bar is different from soap.

It is made using coconut based surfactants (cleaning agents) with a combination of oils. It has a lower PH than soap so is suitable for hair.

It is literally solid shampoo - and is free from soap which can be harsh on hair.

All the ingredients are natural and gentle.

How do you use a shampoo bar?

In the shower or bath, wet your hair then you can either rub the bar directly into wet hair to create a lather or to ensure the bar lasts a little longer rub the bar in your hands to create a foam then rub the foam into your hair.

Massage your hair as your normally would with liquid shampoo, then rinse.

How can I tell the difference between a shampoo bar and a bar of soap that is being sold to wash hair?

Soaps are made by saponifying oils - the ingredients list will start with a list of oils and then will include lye or sodium hydroxide which is the chemical that causes the oils to turn into a solid soap bar.

Soaps have a higher PH and are not recommended for hair washing.

Shampoo bars have no lye or sodium hydroxide - they will start with a list of natural surfactants, not oils. They have a PH of around 5.5 so are suitable for hair.

Do you sell larger bars?

Not at this stage, our business focuses on travel size toiletries.
